Flood emergency declared in Larkana, Pakistan

A flood emergency has been declared in Larkana, Pakistan.

According to the Pakistan News, Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Sindh, Commander (retd) Syed Salman Shah, along with Commissioner Larkana Division, Dr Saeed Ahmed Magnejo and other officials, visited various dykes of the Larkana district on Friday.

The DG PDMA said all measures have been taken to meet an emergency situation due to expected flooding in Indus River.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah proceeded earlier on 2-day emergency visit of Larkana and Sukkur division to inspect the flood protective measures.

Larkana is a district of Sindh province of Pakistan.
