M2.9 earthquake in New Hampshire; Epicenter near Contoocook

Magnitude 2.9 earthquake shakes New Hampshire today at 09:18 am, the United States Geological Survey reported.

According to USGS, the epicenter was located 6 km NW of Contoocook. The earthquake occurred at 3.1 miles depth.

Tremor was well felt by the people of Warner, Concord, Henniker, Contoocook, Salisbury, Canterbury, Bradford, Weare and Hillsborough.

No preliminary damage or injuries have been reported.
