942 families homeless as severe rainstorm hits Yendi, Ghana

Severe rainstorm in Yendi Municipality of Ghana has injured two children and made around 942 homeless with damage to dozens of houses and mosques.

The severe rainstorm caused extensive damage to 93 households and two mosques, with the hardest hit in Guntintle and Madina, suburbs of Yendi, Modern Ghana reported.

According to My Joy Online, the rainstorm lasted for about an hour. The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has been doing the damage assessment.
