Partial solar eclipse in Nepal tomorrow; Total after 108 yrs

Nepal will witness partial solar eclipse on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. The partial solar eclipse in Nepal will start at 5:57 am and will end at 07:02 am. The maximum view of the partial solar eclipse will be at 6:27 am.

Total solar eclipse will begin in the Indian Ocean and pass through Indonesia before ending in the northern Pacific Ocean.

The total solar eclipse will occur in more than 35% area of Indonesia. People in northern Australia and parts of South and East Asia will have partial eclipses. 

The next total solar eclipse will be on August 21, 2017 which will be visible from most locations in the United States. The maximum point of the solar eclipse will take place near Hopkinsville, Kentucky at 18:20 UTC with totality lasting for 2 mins 40 secs.

Last total solar eclipse in Nepal was seven years ago, on July 22, 2009. The eclipse passed through India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China and ended in the Pacific Ocean. Next total solar eclipse in Nepal will occur after 108 years, on May 14, 2124. It will sweep across India, Nepal, China and Russia before ending in the North Pacific Ocean.
