Firefighters controlling wildfire on the road between Marbella and Monda in Ojen, Southern Spain
  • Landslide in Liangshan, China
    -
    Ten killed and 14 others missing in a landslide in a hydropower station in southwest China.
    -Liangshan prefecture lies about 1,750 kilometers southwest of Beijing, the capital city of China.

  • Wildfires in Marbella, Spain
    -About 4,000 people evacuated due to wildfire near hills of Marbella city of Southern Spain.
    -Nearly all residents of Ojen were evacuated and given shelter in sports centres in the coastal resort of Marbella.
    -More than 300 firefighters are battling the flames. Fire is expected to be in control by the end of the day.
    Update
    -One killed in Marbella fire. The body was found in Ojen, north of Marbella.
    -Two roads near the city were closed because of the fire but authorities said one had been reopened.

Moderate to light shaking will have felt by the people of Pilar, Libertad, Mandaue City, Cebu City, Cagayan de Oro and Mantampay. Tsunami warning is issued.   • M 4.6 moderate earthquake in Libertador O'higgins, Chile (@ 96 km depth) with epicenter located 44 km E of Machali. Just a weak shaking will have felt by the people of Rancagua, Graneros and Rengo and Santiago.

Ongoing Major River Floods (Based on Satellite observation): Argentina,Botswana (Selinda), Brazil (River Tocantins), Cameroon (River Benue), Chad, China (River Mekong, River Huang He and River Brahmaputra), Colombia (River Japura, River Rio Negro and River Magdelena), Ethiopia, Guinea, Honduras, India 9River Ganges), Laos (River Mekong), Mali (River Niger), Mexico, Nigeria (River Benue and River Niger), Panama, Senegal, Sudan and Venezuela (River Orinoco).
  • Flash floods and landslides in Mindanao, Philippines
    -Rains in Mindanao is expected to trigger floods and landslides.
    -LPA is expected to bring rainfall in the region which is currently located 280 kilometers southeast of Davao City.

  • Hurricane Kirk
    -As of 15:00 UTC, Kirk was located 1330 km E of Bermuda.
    -Kirk is a category two hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale.
  • Tropical Storm Leslie
    -As of 15:00 UTC, Leslie was located 1355 km E of the Leeward Islands.
    - Leslie is moving toward the west-northwest near 17 mph.

  • Natural disasters cause huge loss of property in Humla, Nepal
    Natural disasters in Humla district this year caused loss of property worth Rs 40 million and infrastructures, the Humla District Natural Disaster Relief Committee stated. The committee assessed the damage caused by the natural disasters from the reports and data it received from the police stations at different places in the district.
