    -Typhoon Jelawat in Okinawa injured more than 50 people and caused extensive blackouts.
    -Typhoon Jelawat is expected to make landfall later today (Sunday) in the Tokai region in central Japan.
  • Hurricane Nadine
    -As of 09:00 UTC, Hurricane Nadine was located 965 km W of the Azores.
    -Nadine is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale and is moving toward the north-northwest near 12 mph. No threat to land.
