-Landslide in northern Peru killed 11 people. At least five children were among the dead. Other 10 are reported to be missing.
-Landslide destroyed 24 Peruvian homes in village of El Porvenir in the province of San Martin.
-Heavy rain this morning in Tarapoto caused the avalanche.
-A team of Civil Defence Brigades is working in Picota avalanche area.
-El Porvenir residents, who are mostly coffee farmers are having frequent landslides due to heavy rainfall.
