  • Flooding in Lourdes, France
    -More than 500 people evacuated due to flooding in the Roman Catholic shrine town of Lourdes.
    -All hotels situated on the bank of the Gave de Pau River were evacuated.
    -Floods in Lourdes closed various routes to mountain resorts. Roads leading to common Cauterets, Luz-Saint-Sauveur and Pierrefitte Nestalas in Lourdes were also closed. Only the Basilica, located in height, was accessible.
    -It is popular pilgrim area where around 6 million visitors people visit in a year.
    -Flash floods in south-eastern France in June 2010 killed 19 people (Photo AFP / Laurent Dard).
    -It has been raining in Lourdes since Oct. 18. Lourdes is a commune in the Hautes-Pyrénées department in the Midi-Pyrénées region in south-western France.

  • M 4.8 moderate shallow earthquake South of Panama (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 130 km WNW of Francisco Pizarro. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Tumaco, Valdez and San Lorenzo de Esmeraldas.

  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake in Taiwan (@ 79 km depth) with epicenter located 69 km ESE of Su'ao. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Yonakuni, Yilan, Hualian and Taipei.
