  • Flooding in Aswan, Egypt
    -Heavy thunderstorms and rain caused flooding in the city of Aswan in Upper Egypt.
    -Aswan was also hit by dust storms that cut off power to the whole city. However no major damage or injury reported.

    Joshua osemwengie from Kampala, Uganda writes: It was around 7:16 PM (uganda time) when it occurred. I was on my computer when there was sudden vibration spreading through out the house .. its was frightening the first few minutes then i got hold of my self.
    DR: No any earthquake so far recorded by USGS and EMSC in Uganda.
  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake near the Coast of Central Peru (@ 32 km depth) with epicenter located 51 km S of Paracas. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Santiago,Ica and Pisco. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Lima.

  • M 4.7 moderate shallow earthquake in Western Mongolia (@ 13 km depth) with epicenter located 14 km WSW of Bayanbulag. Weak shaking will have felt as far as Bayanhongor.

  • M 3.8 light shallow earthquake in Nevada (@ 11 km depth) with epicenter located 14 km SSW from Nixon. It will have well felt by the people of Wadsworth, Spanish Springs, Fernley and Reno.

  • M 5.4 moderate deep earthquake in Mindanao, Philippines (@ 145 km depth) with epicenter located 101 km ESE of Pondaguitan. Just a weak shaking of MMI II-III will have felt by the people of Mati, Caburan and Lupon.

  • M 4.9 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 35 km depth) with epicenter located 65 km SE of Ishinomaki. Weak shaking will heve even by the people of Yamoto, Shiogama and Matsushima.

    -As of 15:00 UTC, TS Maliksi was located 470 nm south- southeast of Tokyo, Japan.
  • Tropical Storm Nadine
    -As of 15:00 UTC, TS Nadine was located 650 km WSW of the Azores.
    -A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Azores. Nadine is now one of only 7 other Atlantic tropical cyclones that have lasted 20 days.
