  • M 4.5 moderate earthquake in Southern Iran (@ 45 km depth) with epicenter located 59 km NNE of Bandar 'Abbas. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Minab, Qeshm and Khasab (Oman).
    17:46 UTC (local time Sunday, February 03, 2013 at 09:16 PM @ epicenter) 
  • M 3.6 light shallow earthquake in Pyrenees (@ 5 km depth) with epicenter located 2 km E Coarraze. It will have well felt by the people of Lourdes and Pamplona.
    14:04 UTC (local time 15:04; 2013/02/03 @ epicenter) 
  • M 4.0 light shallow earthquake in Bosnia and Herzegovina (@ 2 km depth) with epicenter located 14 km NE Gacko. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of  Foca and  Sarajev.
    12:00 UTC (local time 13:00; 2013/02/03 @ epicenter)
  • M 3.8 light shallow earthquake in Montenegro (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 26 km E Gacko. It will have well felt by the people of  Foca and Sarajevo.

Ongoing Major River Floods (Based on Satellite observation): Afghanistan (Amu Darya), Australia (Darling), Bolivia (Madre de Dios), Brazil (Tocantins), Chad (N Djamena), China (Mekong and Huang He), Democratic Republic of the Congo (Ubangi), Dominican Republic, Honduras, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq (Shatt al Arab and Tigris), Kenya (Tana), Philippines, Sudan (Blue Nile, White Nile), Syria (Euphrates), Tanzania.
 

Recent Volcanic Activity
Erupting Volcanoes: Fuego, Santiago, Poas, Reventador, Nyiragongo, Ol Doniyo Lengai, Raung, Erta Ale, Paluweh, Gamalama, Batu Tara, Sakurajima, Manam, Ulawun, Tolbachik and Kilauea volcano.
  • Indonesia/Paluweh recent volcanic activity
    -Ash emissions reported from Paluweh volcano of Indonesia.
    -Paluweh volcano (Rokatenda / Rerombola Lava Domes) is located about 10 km off the north coast of Flores Island, Indonesia.
    -
    Hundreds of people were evacuated in 2012 Paluweh eruption. The biggest eruption on Paluweh occurred in 1928 due to the tsunami and earthquake.


Recent Tropical Cyclones
  • Tropical Cyclone Felleng
    -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Felleng was located 605 nm south-southwest of La Reunion.
    -
    Tropical Cyclone Felleng caused heavy rainfall in Madagascar, Reunion and Mauritius.
    -Cyclone Felleng in Madagascar killed five people some days ago. Floods displaced more than 700 people in Antananarivo.

  • Avalanche in Cairngorms, Scotland
    -Avalanche in the Coire an t-Sneachda area of
    Cairngorms, Scotland injured three people.
    -Three mountaineers were airlifted to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
    -Avalanche in Glencoe, Scotland killed four this January.
