  • M 4.6 moderate earthquake near the East Coast of Honshu, Japan (@ 64 km depth) with epicenter located 8 km W of Funaishikawa. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Hitachi, Kōriyama, Mito, Saitama, Shirakawa, Tokyo, Tsukuba and Utsunomiya.

  • M 3.2 light shallow earthquake in Northern California (@ 9 km depth) with epicenter located 20 km NNW from Lake Pillsbury. It will have well felt by the people of Covelo, San Francisco, Berkeley, Willits, Ukiah and Sacramento.04:00 UTC (local time Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 09:00 PM @ epicenter)
  • M 3.9 light shallow earthquake in Auckland, New Zealand (@ 6 km depth) with epicenter located 15 km north-east of Auckland. It will have well felt by the people of Albany, Auckland, Devonport, Meadowbank, Pinehill, Glendene, Stonefields, Howick, Massey, Mangere, Oteha, Manukau, Pakuranga, Takapuna and Weymouth.   • Kamchatka (Russia)/Shiveluch recent volcanic activity
    -
    Shiveluchvolcano has spewed ash to a height of 6 km above sea level.
    -More than 90 earthquakes have been recorded at Shiveluch.

    -As of 06:00 UTC, TC Tim was located 235 nm southeast of Willis Island, Australia.
