  • Lightning strikes in Oman
    -L
    ightning strikes in Saham and Ibri region of Oman claimed two lives.
    -Rock slide has blocked mountain road between Bausher and Amerat.

Recent Earthquakes 
  • M 5.0 moderate earthquake in Region Metropolitana, Chile (@ 82 km depth) with epicenter located 12 km SE of Santiago. Light to weak shaking will have felt by the people of Colina, Puente Alto, San Bernardo, Santiago and La Pintana.

  • M 5.3 moderate earthquake in Antigua And Barbuda Reg, Leeward Islands (@ 46 km deth) with epicenter located 37 km WSW of Codrington. It will have well felt by the people of Basseterre, Bolands, Cedar Grove, Cole Bay, Cotton Ground, English Harbour, Monkey Hill, Phillipsburg, Saint Johnʿs and Saint-Barthélemy.

  • M 5.9 strong shallow earthquake in Azores Islands, Portugal (@ 10 km depth) with epicenter located 29 km ESE of Furnas. Light shaking of MMI IV will have felt by the people of Furnas, Ponta Delgada, Vila Franca do Campo, Arrifes, Rosto de Cao, Faja de Baixo and Rabo de Peixe.

  • Flooding in Saskatchewan, Canada
    -
    States of emergency have been declared in Maidstone, Radisson and Borden area of Saskatchewan.
    -At least 29 people have been evacuated from Paul Dojack Youth Centre.
    -More floods are expected due to very high spring run-off.

  • Tropical Cyclone Zane
    -As of 12:00 UTC, TC Zane was located 135 nm north-northwest of Willis Island, Australia.
    -Tropical Cyclone Zane has been upgraded to a category two cyclone.
    -
    Zane is expected to make landfall between Orford Ness and Lockhart River late Wednesday.
    -A cyclone warning has been issued for coastal areas from Cape Grenville to Cape Tribulation.

    -Massive landslide on Dorset coast path near Durdle Door has been reported.
